Turbines started as an investigation into the fast growing wind energy sector in the UK. Now a world leader in offshore wind, this position has not come without debate and controversy. Firmly at the centre of this is the aesthetic impact erection of wind turbines will have on the landscape, often claimed to be of an adverse character, spoiling the landscape and diminishing the heritage of the Great British seaside.
Turbines attempts to show how some of these offshore developments might look when they are completed. Presented as diptychs, digital composites showing the wind turbines are seen next to unaltered images showing the landscape in its current state.
